About Me

I am currently a Research Engineer at Expleo Group within the Innovation Department, where I am actively contributing to autonomous driving (AD) projects. My work primarily focuses on improving Human-Vehicle Interaction (HVI), where I apply cutting-edge research and methodologies to enhance the way drivers and vehicles communicate. Through these projects, I am involved in designing and implementing solutions aimed at optimizing safety, usability, and overall driving experience by leveraging speech recognition, intelligent systems, and adaptive technology.

I obtained my PhD in Robotics from Sorbonne University on March 2022. The PhD was done as a Marie-Curie ITN fellow funded by the European Commission’s H2020 projects (ANIMATAS) at ISIR in Sorbonne University, under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Chetouani, and Co-directed by Amit Kumar Pandey at the HRI team in Softbank Robotics Europe (SBRE), under the management of Marine Chamoux. I was full-time based on SBRE. My thesis is titled " Generating Proactive Communicative Robot Behavior".

Before this, I got my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering at Bilkent University, Turkey and then a Master of Science in Robotics at Plymouth University, UK. I was also a visiting researcher at KOVAN Lab, METU, Turkey after my maters.

During my Phd, I attended a series of training events in different countries, reviewing academic papers for different conferences and journals and co-organizing various events. At last, I co-organized a workshop titled Towards Socially Intelligent Robots In Real World Applications: Challenges And Intricacies (SIRRW) at IEEE ROMAN 2022 Conference.

I presented some of my projects on the Welcome page. If you want to know more, do not hesitate to check my GScholar or GitHub pages or contact me.
